I’m pooped — what about you?

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

I’ll admit it, I am pooped today. Yes, Prohomemaker is wiped. But I plan a nap and to get the presents wrapped tonight … or at least one-third.
tired housewife

But just wanted to tip you off to do a to-do list. Start backing out the holidays to ensure you get the most important tasks done.

Yes, that means some get shoved aside.

These are my top priorities:

  • Wrap presents
  • Do grocery shopping for Christmas Day dinner
  • Clean house and change sheets (we’ll have guests but I know the drill)
  • Back out times for dinner, as I mentioned in this post.
  • Prep serving and dishes for dinner and Dec. 26 brunch.
  • Iron napkins for the above.
  • Everything else goes to B items, including Christmas cards. I’ll do my best, but it’s time to say what’s most important.

So the thought for the day is prioritize. How are you doing?

Me too, I’m pooped. But in a good way. My presents are almost all bought and wrapped and cards are in the mail. Best of all my hubby does the cooking, so I never stress over that.
I love reading your back out advice, because I always do that for events too. One list of things that have to get done and things I might be able to fit in.

Ya’ know? It doesn’t have to be Christmas cards. It could be, say, Happy New Year cards… :-D

Me too. Pooped. Still have one apple bread in the oven…all the kiddie school party scrapbook stuff has been die cut. Now, I’m going to glitter paint some snowflakes for…well, it’s supposed to be done for some reason and I’m waiting on the bread.

ProHomeMaker gets pooped? Whew. Thank goodness. Then, I can be pooped too!

LOL … I thought I was preaching to the choir with this post, and you all underscored that.

All I can say is God bless you all! You’re the ones who make Christmas special. :-)

And, update, I just finished wrapping all the presents — 2:45 a.m.!

But I did catch up on all my DVR’ed Food Network shows.

      :-)

I’m good at napping. And I’m a pro at pooped. But boy, do I detest having to stay up late to finish it all up! Procrastination does have its bad points…

My desire to have the presents wrapped — and be able to enjoy the look — outweighed the sleep part, but I did catch up today. :-)
